PRIVACY POLICY
Information Collection & Use
In order to access all areas of this website, you must first create an account. During registration you are required to give information, such as name and email address. Your email address will never be made public, but will be used if you wish to receive a new password or request notifications from the site.
You have the option to provide additional information (such as employer and job title) when you complete your personal profile; we encourage you to submit this information to maximize your experience on our site. Please be aware that any information you add to your personal profile will be visible to other members. None of this information is shared with third parties.
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. Some of this data is obtained through the use of Google Analytics and some is obtained by Drupal, the content management system that powers this website. Both of these methods use cookies, which are small text files stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. If you reject cookies, you may still use our website, but your ability to use some areas of our website will be limited.
We use this information to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site, and to gather information about our user base as a whole. We do not share any personally identifiable information with third parties.
Communications from the Site
When you register, the email address you provide will be used to send you login instructions, which include your password. Through your personal profile, other members can contact you at the email address used at registration. However, they will never see your email address. If you do not wish to be contacted in this way, disable your personal contact form in your account settings. (Site administrators will still be able to contact you if necessary.)
To receive updates from the site, users must opt-in for content delivered via RSS feeds. Some of these feeds are delivered through Feedburner, a website operated by Google Inc. Please visit the Google Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is treated when using its products and services.
We may send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.
