Over the past two weeks at the GLS Conference, the Games For Change Festival, and the International Society for Technology in Education Conference, we’ve offered attendees a first look at Playful Learning, the nationwide initiative and digital platform we’ve been building to support the use of digital games in the classroom. With the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s recent investment of $500,000 to grow our teacher outreach network and offer professional development over the next two years, we’re feeling very excited for the opportunity to scale game-based learning.
Today, we’re excited to open the conversation to everybody. The online Playful Learning portal, which aims to help teachers explore, find, review and share games for teaching, is currently in open beta. Register at PlayfulLearning.com and feel free to start poking around. As more features go online and discussions begin to emerge, we’ll most certainly be on the lookout for any thoughts, suggestions, or concerns you may have. I also invite you to get in touch with Playful Learning on Facebook and Twitter.
Let’s get started!
